During the last decades, a series of important drug products have been developed by which drugs are administered by inhalation to the lungs or to the nasal cavity.
The interest in the field is growing with the aim to enable pharmacological treatment of a broader spectrum of diseases by inhalation. There is a need to match these opportunities with improved inhalation drug delivery technologies and in this meeting, the focus is on one critical aspect in this context, i.e. excipients for inhalation medicines.
The objective of the meeting is two-fold: To give the participants insights that may help them to develop new or improved inhaled medicines and to promote the formation of a Swedish Inhalation Network.
Who should attend?
The meeting targets people that have an interest in or are actively working with research, development, manufacturing and control of inhaled medicines. The meeting also reach out to people that have an interest in the Swedish Inhalation Network.
The Swedish Inhalation Network
The Swedish Inhalation Network (SwedIN) is a community of scientists active in academia, healthcare and industry united by a common interest in inhaled medicines. The ambition of SwedIN is to create meeting places for scientific dialogues that can stimulate interest in the field, ensure handover of competence to next generation and create opportunities for collaboration and scientific advancement.
